I would love some increased verbosity in the daily log for prisoners/defectors. I've found it way too easy to lose track of them in my campaign. Mostly I'd like the default handling of prisoners and especially defectors to require some intervention on my part before their status/ranks are changed with more persistent reminders in the daily log that I need to deal with them so that way if I advance day it'll keep reminding me. With that in mind on the personnel tab in the drop down filter I'd love an added filter of prisoners.
Likewise for dependents I'd love for a filter in the drop down and some sort of intervention on my part before they get mushed in with the rest of my unit.
There is a small bug that goes hand in hand with this... Prisoners are shown as Recruits until after the next reload.

As a point of clarification/suggested by others I'd like to add the following:
As there is already a "Prisoner" rank to help distinguish them in the personnel logs I would like to see additions of "Defector" and "Dependant" special ranks. This way even without the additional drop down filters it remains possible to see these special personnel.
As a point, please don't set the owner and priority flags.
I know I didn't change the priority from what it was defaulted to but noted about setting ownership.
Okay, thanks. It's possible that the default priority is set wrong for this tracker. I'll look into that.
Won't increasing the verbosity in the daily log for prisoners/defectors make the already 'full of information' daily report fuller and cause processing slowdown?
Yes, though it can be fixed by adding a clear log button which has a feature request. Question is who will have time to work on it.
I'm certainly willing to adjust the RFE based upon feedback/critiscism about how to make the current Prisoner/Defector/Dependant situation a bit easier for players like myself to handle without creating undo extra slowdowns.
Perhaps increased verbosity is the wrong way to accomplish what I want. I'm certainly willing to grant that. Mostly I just want to have the extra flags/filters and find a way to let the player know they still have prisoners, defectors, and dependents to deal with if they advance day without dealing with them when first added to the force.
In my games, I create a rank for defector just above none and below recruit or private. I also have a rank called CHILD (for when a child is born) that is in the highest officer position I can put it in. That then allows me to sort by rank and puts each at opposite ends of the spectrum. Maybe MekHQ could track those positions for us?
