I am splitting this off from a comment on Bug [#857] because it is a separate issue. If you switch from single to double heat sinks on a mech the cost is shown as zero and no parts are shown as required, but the maintenance times are only for switching out the non-free sinks. When you actually do the repair, you will actually acquire double heat sinks above the free ones.

There are two problems here. The first is that the refit is reporting incorrect costs and parts needed compared to what it actually does. The second deeper problem is that you do not have to sub out the free sinks. Whether the latter is truly a problem is up for debate. those sinks are considered integral to the engine and so they have no costs and weights and we don't track them as parts. What it actually suggests to me is that we should be distinguishing engines based on whether they are double or single heat sink ones, but I also think that is too extreme. I will post a rules query about it.

I am marking this as stable for the first part. The second part is post-stable as are all rules queries.

Never mind everything here is working as intended. YOu just have to place the equipment in a crit slot before it shows up as needed.
