They show should be showing the correct cost based on the sell value and quality of the unit. To verify, check the HQ options for what the quality multiplier is, check the units actual quality (new units are always D), the multiply the cost of a new purchase by the quality multiplier. This should give you the cost in the panel.
So it would be New X Quality = Sell value

Hmm, i didnt see the quality anywhere, then realised it was hidden under the "status" filter. It looks like almost everything is automatically D quality because i have maintainenance checks turned off and the ATB rules sheet doesnt explain how you are supposed to increase the quality if you have the checks turned off...

Okay i changed the D quality modifier to 1.0 and the unit is undamaged, but the sale price still does not match up with the actual unit price...
Also the post battle salvage prices are inaccurate. The unit view lists one price, the "total value salvaged (Mercs) is another price and the actual price listed in the hangar is a third price.
I will look into this. In prior versions, the value of some units may have been inflated because their value was calculated before the roll to determine whether damaged parts were destroyed. In the current release this should no longer be a problem, but in the screenshot shown it doesn't look like there is any damaged equipment anyway except maybe the two JJs which wouldn't explain the price differential I think.

In your screenshot, the upper right portion is from what program? Since you're obscuring most of the screen I can't tell.
They are all screencaps from mek HQ. The upper right "unit view" is from the "view unit" button in the salvage screen.
Okay, I'll be looking into this as I get back into the development swing.
