I tried to implement this patch but at least on Windows 8.1 it makes no difference. Just rebuilding some VMs to test other OS.

Attached a version which also works in 8.1 (<dpiaware>true/pm</dpiaware>).
Text is now sharp, but the control elements are out of place.

Since 2810 MeGUI is high DPI aware
