About turn 11 I noticed the Peregrine's ERPPC being considerably more inaccurate than its LMGs. This is a TC aimed, CT mounted weapon. There is no reason for it to be more inaccurate than the arm mounted LMGs. All that I can think of is it is picking up a minimum range from somewhere.
or perhaps, the modifiers for trying to make an aimed shot?
(the 'Mech does have a TC and from what I can tell, this was a Bot v Bot game and the Bot can do some unusual things at times ;-)
looking at the firing in Round 11, the Peregrine needed 9 to hit with the ERPPC and the LMGs needed only 6. (range would off been 1 or 2 hexes?)
Taking the Targeting Computer into account, even if the ERPPC was getting the minimum range from the PPC (and if the range was 1 hex = +3 modifier) the target number should of been 8 (i think :-p).
from what I can tell, at the same range, a called shot would need the 9 that the ERPPC needed to hit in that round.
I know, the turn reports don't say anything about aimed shots (in the results of hits), but my guess is the modifier for aimed shots might be the cause for the higher target numbers.
I think the aimed shot theory is dead on. From perusing the status files and the log, the Peregrine's targets are pretty chewed up by this point. A 15-point aimed shot to a side torso would kill or seriously cripple the target, and needing "only" 9 to hit isn't bad.
