Any unit can walk into "impassible" rock formations, they are kind of lost after that. See the attached example map.

This is not really a bug. You have to surround the big rock with invisible blocker units ( in the map editor ).
I'm changing this to WONTFIX/closed since it's not offtopic (no reason to delete IMO).
