No

The program is excellent in technical details. How about a version for media afficianados that focuses on things like: title, director, year of release, plot/comments? Combined with the MediaTab program, top level data would be easily accessible without consulting IMDB on the web.

      Hello,

Thanks for responding.   What I meant is tags from IMDB already placed in the file by a user. I'm preparing to tag many videos with IMDB data and thought MediaInfo would be much enhanced by adding the standard movie tags to the list of metadata already read by MediaInfo.
      Thanks again for responding.

Grabbing info from external source is a complicated projects, and our current sponsors don't focus on that.

Maybe when we find a sponsor for that.

Please share a sample file so we can better understand what is missing in MediaInfo.

          Hello,

I decided to do some research and discovered that the tags aren't missing; no one's using them. I'm referring to EBUCore/PBCore standards. Manufacturers and producers are not using the tags when releasing video. I ran across a tagging software, MetaX, that made me more aware of this.
Thank you for the software programs and your contributions,Jim Julian

I did some research and found that Mediainfo does support the tags, but no one seems to be using them. The tags are part of the EBUCore/PBCore standards. Consider this closed.
