    Accepted.

Warning: non-paid feature request are set to low priority, I don't know when I have time to handle it.
If you desire to accelerate the development, don't hesitate to contact me for a quotation.

Quick outline of what you are facing when you get "a round tuit":

You already have code to handle RIFF. A lossless WebP has a WEBPVP8L chunk. A lossy WebP has a "WEBPVP8 " (trailing space) chunk. In both cases these chunks start with 32=14+14+1+3 bits. The 3 bits must be zero, otherwise give up. The 1 bit is some advisory "no transparency" bit, irrelevant for your purposes, there are enough more interesting "maybes" in other formats. The 14+14 bits are width-1 and height-1. There can be other chunks (EXIF, ICC, etc.) and animated WebP would be another story.

WebP is gaining more use now, as animated pictures.

I added WebP support to votes, let see if WebP is gaining more requests by MediaInfo users.

Webp is currently being accelerated by Google, and even sites that were not used before are now actively using WebP.
It's inconvenient that Mediainfo doesn't support this.
It's sad that the voting function is paid.

It's sad that the voting function is paid.

We are definitely interested in having you doing what we want and for free.
As you don't do what we want for free, we take the right to prioritize features without paid vote after the wishes of people who permits us to spend more time on our beloved software.

It's inconvenient that Mediainfo doesn't support this.

Looks like that the inconvenience is low, as voting with $ for this support is not considered (or negatively).

Webp is currently being accelerated by Google,

As far as we know Google or any other entity/person are not interested in sponsoring the support of WebP in MediaInfo, so looks like that MediaInfo is not important for them, so we don't prioritize it yet.

But more seriously: we understand that it would be appreciated to have WebP support in MediaInfo, but we don't have yet the resources in house for all wanted features by our users, we need to prioritize.

Note that we accept patches if it is worth it to have for someone else, anyone, MediaInfo is open source and we accept external patches.
