Hello Jerome Martinez, my name is Michael. I emailed you about this issue a few months ago but got no response. I was reluctant to contact you on SourceForge only because I know that many of these sites are meant for open source software project collaborators and programmers only depending if the group is a company or indie developers, but this site seemed like the best way to contact you.

I'm no software programmer or developer so I can't provide much help in resolving the issue collaboratively, especially since I cannot use command line interfaces, only GUI's. Apologizes, but what I can report to you is this.

I'm going to try to be as detailed as I can, I'm using the GUI version of MediaInfo purchased from the Macintosh App Store. My favorite display view that I always like to view information is the tree View by the way, and this is where the problem lies.

I don't know what happened but it seems that recently, according to version 18.05 of the application, for whatever reason, whenever I use the Tree View to view all the information, the main order of the format headers (or tags) in the Tree View are screwed up since the proper order of the tags under the [General], [Video], and [Audio] headers are displayed in the wrong order. No matter how many times I click on the two white sorting buttons to resolve the problem (which are blank by the way with no titles saying "Ascending or Descending" or something), it just rearranges the headers and the tags in different positions but it doesn't fix the regular order that they used to be displayed in previous versions. For example, the tags for Width and Height under the Video header are no longer displayed next to each other and are way farther apart, I honestly wish I had taken screenshots from previous versions of the app to show direct comparisons of the technical and tag information from an older version to the current version of 18.05 to show what I'm talking about but this is the best I can do. There are many other types of tags under the headers that are messed up and there's no default sorting button for me to click on in the Graphical User Interface to fix this. Under the Tree View, the General header no longer gets displayed first when ever I drag and drop a video file like .mp4 for some reason no matter how many times I click on either sorting button.

If you look in the Text View display of the app, you'll see that all the tag and technical information are displayed properly in the correct order, so Text View doesn't have this problem but the Tree View does for whatever reaon, which is unfortunate because like I said, the Tree View is my favorite format display that I use all the time. I'm guessing this is some sort of software regression bug or something but I'm not positive.

Unless I'm contacting the wrong person about this and should be contacting the GUI creator Max Pozdeev if this is a problem on his side please do let me know Jerome. I hope this annoying problem can get resolved in the next update when it's released in the Mac App Store soon because I've been experiencing this problem for a few months. MediaInfo is an awesome and super helpful application as its helped me improve my video and audio compression exports and research significantly as I'm highly experienced in the multimedia field of Audio and Video but this problem has been getting a bit irritating. It's nothing critical but it is an annoyance.

Please let me know what happens soon.

    Michael.

I am there but didn't have yet the time to handle all emails on free support (the $1 fee on Mac App Store is appreciated but is not for paid support). Still on my todo-list.

Thanks. I'm just glad to know that you at least are aware of it and will fix it whenever you can.
