Rotation from MP4 is expected to be supported.
I need a sample file (if you don't want to make it public, drop me an email at info@mediaarea.net)
Attached is a sample
I also tested in this environment
mediainfo version: v0.7.67
operating system : ubuntu 14.04 LTS
rotate.mp4 has default rotation values (meaning no rotation or unknown rotation).
Are you sure the tool used for recording this file supports rotation information?
Do you any file reference that I can check? I tried checking other files
and it produces the same result. I'm using an Iphone 5s for recording the
file.

I tried it again using another device
Device: Nexus 5
OS: Andriod 4.4.4
And It works. I'll just keep investigating why iphone 5s with os version of ios 8.1 don't have any rotation info.
