I have a file where EIA 708 captions are not detected, even though they are present.

I believe it's something to do with the temporal reference counting but I'm not too sure.

The attached one-line patch fixes it for me - is it a valid change?

The file is 3MB and available on request but not generally redistributable.

Thank you for taking time to patch the tool.

I have difficulties to see how it changes the behavior. Actually I think it does not purge orphelin blocks anymore, so it is good on short term, but I may have too much memory usage for some other files. So please provide the file, I'll see if I can patch another way. you can send it to info@mediaarea.net or ask for FTP credentials.
