MediaInfo is showing the wrong FPS value on HD video I captures.
14.3Mbps
1920x1800 (16:9)
fps shows as 29.97, while vlc shows it as 59.940059, which is what I set the capture to be (assuming I didn't screw up the settings for my wintv hvr-2250)
I tried both the 32bit and 64bit versions of v 0.78 on the same file.
First, test with text/html/tree view, if Video "frame mode" is not set to "Frame doubling".
MediaInfo detects AVC frame doubling / tripling and display the real frame rate, VLC has decided to display another value (on a 25 fps file I have, it displays 100 fps ;-) ), this is their choice, on my side I prefer to display the real content rather than artifical values.
2 possibilities:
- with "Frame doubling": MediaInfo is right, VLC choice is simply different.
- without "Frame doubling": I need a part of the file (few MB). you can contact me directly for private FTP.
