    Hello,

The screenshots do not concern the issue. The issue is about the *menu* bar of the program.
    See : http://img812.imageshack.us/i/capturemediainfo1.png/
Note : The screenshot named as "gnome" is actually unity.

Sorry for the private message; Comment were hidden because login memorization did not work.

As you say, this is Unity... Menu is as any every other menu in Unity (on the top of you screen, move your mouse on "MediaInfo" text, MediaInfo menu will appear)

This is not a decision from MediaInfo, this is a decision from Unity.

I'm *not* running unity, so the menu bar should appear in the program window. I am running gnome 2.32 with gnome-panel ("Ubuntu classic" selected at login).

Oh... Sorry, I skipped this information, 100% my fault.
    I can see the problem.
The problem is that I don't control this part (delegated to WxWidgets), and this is working on KDE and Unity, so weird

I (the main developer) plan to change to Qt, so I'll not work on it before I move to Qt, but I let the ticket open, this is a real bug, in case of someone else can help.

Same problem here I'm running Ubuntu 11.04 x64 in classic mode. The menu bar is not visible but pressing Alt+F will show the contents of the file menu.

Thanks for the workaround. There is even more : using the right arrow after pressing Alt+F allow to open other menus.

Weird, very weird... Actually, I tested on Gnome (Ubuntu 12.10 and it was working well, I was considering this issue as closed but I forgot to close the ticket.
I see the issue on Kubuntu, I'll try to see what happens again there, but no ETA, I have urgent and very time consuming issues to deal with, before. Any help is welcome on the debugging.
