MediaInfo 17.12 - Windows 10 x64 15063
When starting the App, or Right Click a media file, I get this message:
"Access violation at address 77A98086 in module 'ntdll.dll'. Write of address 006284D8."
I 'Ok', then click and drag media into MediaInfo and the media information will be displayed.

Using the same platform (Win10 x64 16299) every day.
What happens when you launch MediaInfo and drag n drop the file?
Is it the case with any file?

Waiting for more people having the issue before spending more time on such machine specific issue.

I get this error message only when I launch MediaInfo, also if I right clicked a media file and click Open with MediaInfo which also launches the App. In the past day, this option has been removed from the Right Click Menu. When clicking Ok on the error message, the App opens to a clean window with no text except yellow buttons. I can then open a media file from within the App or I can drag n drop a media file, I will be presented with the Media information. If I close MediaInfo and reopen MediaInfo, the error message re-appears. If I open the preferences and close that window this also brings up the error message.

I uninstalled 17.12, restarted the PC, installed 17.10. Same error, I am beginning to think my Windows is the culprit. Planning to format. Will keep you posted.

I did a format today, installed Win 10 x64 15063, Installed MediaInfo 17.12 early before installing other Apps. I have not had any errors so far. I test after installing each new software to try and find maybe some other software caused MediaInfo to start with these errors, but none so far.

It appears either Windows was/became faulty or some other software installed was the culprit.
