Alternative viewer of NFO files. Notepad++ (with couple of modification) is an excellent view, editor of Nfo files, ensuring the xml format, UTF8 is saved correctly for the xml file.

Other options are as follows: (see below Image)
Drawing

  • Use External Browser. Set MC to open browser tabs in your Web Browser instead of MC's internal browser.
  • Use Multi Thread. Currently only for Movies, this will extend to TV, Music Video at a later date.
  • Auto hide status bar. Status bar at the bottom of MC can be kept visible, or hide after use. Allows more screen present for MC if hides, but saves on resizing of internal controls if kept visible.
  • Check for new Version. Will check if a new release is available and offer users to download. (will open Web browser to Media Companion site.)
  • If download, close MC. Requested so users can upgrade MC before commencing their session.
  • Display local Actor Images. As MC can store the Actors Image URL path, if the local actor image is not present, MC can download the image as needed. Enable this option to reduce unwanted web calls.
  • Enable Multi-Monitor support. Pretty much as stated.
  • Rename non-compliant nfo's. If users copied nfo's from downloaded sources with the video file, these nfo's are not KODI/Xbmc nfos. These will be renamed to '.info' if enabled, else deleted.
