I just added an episode that wasnt on tvdb using the save basic nfo if episode not found and it wouldnt add the tv show actors. Shouldnt the tv show actors be on the episdoe list not just the guest stars since its tvdb ?
Yep same issue opccured it didnt carry over the tv show actors since tvdb is diffent then tmdb it didnt show any actors at all for an episode i just tried with a three stooges episode and it didnt show the tv show actors for an episode it was all blank even though no guest stars it should show the tv show actors since all those three stooges should be part of the episode evne though not all 5 of the stooges appeard in that episode it is what tvdb is supposed to show for an episode i think.

Doesnt matter what epiosde its any episode it doesnt add the tv main tv show cast to an episode since i have 15 three stooges episodes and all the episdoe actors and roles are blank for every episode.

But for Three stooges, there are not guest actors.
Also, Kodi uses TVDb API V3 & V4, which MC does not have access to as we are not going to pay for information.
So, I can re-instate the option to copy Series cast to Episodes, but this will copy for every series you have, or you will have to accept that MC has this limitation for TVDb actors.

NO, as it is a basic episode nfo , no valid ID's, MC stops adding any information as it may be incorrect.
This is by design.
Add the episode on TVDb site is the correct method.

As I mentioned, a blank or basic nfo has no ID's, so no MC can not allocate any actors as it is an invalid episode.
How it is working for you is correct. This is not a fault, it is intended.

And to confirm, You are scraping the Show from tvdb, series and episode actors also from tvdb.?

No, MC will not add Series cast to Episodes if they are regulars. TVDB only lists Guest actors, and there are none for these episodes.

Specially as I disabled that option to add Series cast to episodes. Now I know why it was added.

For an episode it shows all actors including guest stars.
But for Three stooges, there are not guest actors.
