[mds] MDS demo Thursday (tomorrow) in the L3D lab at 4:15

Hello everybody. 

I am going to give a presentation on some of my recent work in the
L3D lab tomorrow (Thursday, October 26) at 4:15. 

The system, aka the "Mathematical Discussion System", or MDS for
short, is a tool for enabling people to embed conversations
directly into an online textbook. There is more information in our
initial project proposal, which was written by myself and Eric
Wright, an applied math doctoral student. The URL for this can be

The presentation is mainly for the benefit of Dr. Curry (who
helped fund the effort and now understandably wants to make sure
that we did something useful with the money), but everybody is
welcome to attend. Also, Leysia and I may conspire to set up an
L3D meeting on the subject at some point in the near future.
