mcompartments is a Matlab/Octave package for dynamic box models comprising any number of species and compartments. Box models are useful to study the dynamics of chemicals within systems that can be described by different compartments (e.g. environmental systems).

To download mcompartments from Sourceforge, you need SVN (Subversion, a version control system). Use the following SVN command to download mcompartments for the first time:

	svn checkout https://mcompartments.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/mcompartments

To update you local copy of mcompartments to the most recent version available in the SVN repository on the Sourceforge server, use the following command:

	svn update
