This error happens when I open a comic in Mcomix (either through the interface or from the command line) while:

  • “Double page mode” is currently on
  • “Show one page when appropriate” (in Preferences, under “Behavior”) is set to either “Never” or “Only on wide pages.” (i.e. not to “Only on title page” or “Always”)
If I’ve already opened the comic under different settings, and then I switch to these settings, the error will not happen.
The error is that the comic will not load. The command line will give a message:
tina@pannychis:~$ mcomix 1995\ Cherry\ 18\ Edition\ 2\ \(Sir\ Real\).cbr
22:29:27 [MainThread] WARNING: czipfile not available! using zipfile
22:29:28 [MainThread] ERROR: ! Callback <bound method ?._listed_contents of <mcomix.file_handler.FileHandler object at 0x7ff4203a7e10>> failed: 'NoneType' object is not iterable

(As before, the czipfile warning is normal for me, whether MComix is working or not. I don’t know if it has any bearing at all on the bug.)

I’m using Ubuntu MATE 18.04 64-bit, using the WepUpd8 PPA package described here: https://launchpad.net/~nilarimogard/+archive/ubuntu/webupd8/+sourcepub/9257329/+listing-archive-extra The package version number is “1.2.1-1~webupd8~bionic2”, while the version number given by “mcomix --version” is “1.3.dev0”.

Thank you!

This is probably a duplicate of #113 and has been fixed already.
