fig2dev 3.2.8 breaks imported encapsulated postscript files
I am using debian stable and I use the package maintainers version of xfig. This is currently version 3.2.8.
I frequently import encapsulated postscript files into xfig - plots from octave or python, or maybe LaTeX equations. I then export the fig file to encapsulated postscript and import the result into a LaTeX document. With version 3.2.8 this no longer works, but when I downgrade to 3.2.7b it works fine.
A simple example is attached. The required commands are in "create".
The attachment does not comprise a full example. I attach the files up.fig and up-3.2.8b.eps which, together with UpsampleP.eps, show the original issue. Attached is also up-dev.fig which was created from the development version of fig2dev. I believe, this is a duplicate of the issue described in ticket [#137].
I am afraid, on debian the proposed patch is not yet applied. No, probably not yet distributed. To resolve the issue, you would have to compile from sources. Closing this ticket, please continue a discussion in [#137].
