[Mc4j-user] tomcat 5.5.9

Dear all,

I'm trying to run mc4j with tomcat 5.5.9 (on windows, with jdk1.5.0_02). =
According to instructions from =
http://mc4j.sourceforge.net/usageTomcat.html I should add =
-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=3D9004 to JAVA_OPTS. But when I try =
doing it, tomcat simply crashes without any error message in the logs.

Do you know how to run mc4j with tomcat 5.5.x?

If you use catalina.[bat|sh] run what is the last bit of output? There are =
a=20
few things that will cause the JVM to stop loading when asked to boot with=

the internal JMX remoting enabled. It may have an error message such as the=
=20
jmx password file being world readable. See Sun's 1.5 documentation on=20
managment remoting for more info.=20
