It looks like the installer software MC4J uses will not work on the IBM JRE= .=20 I've never tried this, but its using a -noverify which is not supported by= =20 ibm. You may have to install a sun jvm to get the installer to work. Hi Dominic, have you followed the directions at http://mc4j.org/ confluence/display/MC4J/Tomcat When you attempt connection, are there any errors or messages? The principle is your username and the credential is your password. Hi, I am trying to use MC4J which looks like it should be excellent. I am using Tomcat 5.0.19 and I cant get access to this server. I suspect the problem is in the credentials. I know my 'management' login to tomcat, but I dont know the syntax of how I add this to the 'credentials' sectionof my connection in MC4J. Could you tell me the syntax of this section... or am I missing the point somewhere? Thanks in advance, Dominic |

Just discovered mc4j - great work - just what I needed without even knowing it. So, I've hooked it up to some stuff that I am working on (http://wadi.codehaus.org) to see what was going on inside... What I was looking for was graphing and mc4j has that, but it seems that I cannot colocate attributes from different connections on the same graph :-( I was hoping to do this so that I could graph all the nodes in my cluster together... Hopefully, this is just a cosmetic rather than architectural issue. Lastly, it would be nice to add attributes to a graph by d-n-d-ing them from the connections pane :-) keep up the good work, Jules -- "Open Source is a self-assembling organism.
