I checked the source out and I'm trying to build, but I'm getting the following error. What, other than Ant, is required to build? C:\mc4j\mc4j\build.xml:60: The <jar> task doesn't support the nested " zipgroupfileset" element. Peter Callies McKesson Information Solutions Transaction Solutions Hub mailto:pet...@mc... They should automatically persist in the current version. Restart MC4J and they should still be there. --- Alwyn Schoeman <al...@sm...> wrote: > Hi, > > Is it possible to save the list of servers you have > added in the gui? > > -- > Alwyn Schoeman > SMART Money Inc. > > "The clock on the wall keeps moving, time stands > still... > No matter how the dice may fall, someone else > always gets to call the number..." > > ATTACHMENT part 2 application/pgp-signature __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? It sure does. When you select the MBean itself, the explorer window below should display three different tabs of "properties". The attributes are the first tab and should allow you to enter new values (if the data type is supported and the property is editable). -----Original Message----- From: Nathan Cao [mailto:cs...@ne...] Sent: Wednesday, September 25, 2002 7:35 PM To: mc4...@li... Easier than I expected. Placing all of the JBoss jars (client and lib) into the "lib/ext" directory of MC4J worked. I'll make an effort to figure out exactly which jars will be needed for release. -----Original Message----- From: Gregory Hinkle Sent: Thursday, September 19, 2002 11:00 AM To: 'mc4...@li...' Subject: [Mc4j-development] RE: NPE on connect to JBoss Hi Matt, I've seen this problem also. (I just downloaded the 3.2beta yesterday) It appears that the connector setup in JBoss has changed, but also that even selecting the correct connector, the queryMBeans method seems to be returning null. I'm going to see if I can get any better results using the latest libraries (MC4J 1.1 still uses the libraries included with JBoss 3.0.0). Others have also reported the same problem. __ Greg Hinkle |

HI, First off, thank you for providing a much needed tool to the community. I, for one, have been waiting for something like this for a while. That having been said, I am having trouble using it. System -- w2k, jdk 1.4.1, jboss 4.0 (latest) On connect to JBoss, I get an NPE (below). Could you please give an example of a "known-good" setup for sucessfully using mc4j on w2k? - Matt java.lang.NullPointerException at java.util.TreeSet.addAll(TreeSet.java:227) at org.mc4j.console.connection.ConnectionNode.loadConnectionNodeChildren(Connec tionNode.java:167) at org.mc4j.console.connection.ConnectionNode.connect(ConnectionNode.java:288) at org.mc4j.console.connection.JBossConnectionNode.connect(Unknown Source) at org.mc4j.console.connection.ReconnectAction.performAction(Unknown Source) at org.openide.util.actions.NodeAction.performAction(NodeAction.java:179) at org.openide.util.actions.NodeAction.actionPerformed(NodeAction.java:170) at org.netbeans.core.ModuleActions$1.run(ModuleActions.java:104) at org.openide.util.Task.run(Task.java:136) [catch] at org.openide.util.RequestProcessor$Processor.run(RequestProcessor.java:599) |

Hi Greg, I currently can not build MC4J from CVS Head. It appears that you have not yet performed a CVS Add on the following new classes: org.mc4j.console.swing.ExtendedExplorerPanel org.mc4j.console.install.WeblogicInstall org.mc4j.console.install.JdmkInstall Would you mind adding these files so that I can build the most current source? Also, if you haven't already seen, I have submitted suggested patches to Sourceforge. Thanks, Corby _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com |
