Binary_distributions

It is highly recommended that you compile your own version from source code.

As the binaries depend on the operating system, Maya version and OSG version, it is quite difficult to maintain binary distributions for all these combinations.

Binary distributions include the plug-in (

maya2osg.mll

or

maya2osg.so

) in the

bin

directory and the maya configuration files in

scripts

and

prefs

directories. For more information see the [Installation_instructions] page. Windows package include a batch file

INSTALL.bat

that will do the work (check the

bin\plug-ins

permissions). Naming scheme for binary distributions include the operating system, maya version and OSG version (e.g.

maya2osg-0.2.0.bin.win32.maya2010.osg2.9.7.zip

). Make sure it matches your installation!
