User Reviews

  • Between 1984 and 1996 I ran a BBS. Starting with highly customized WWIV and migrating to Maximus once I discovered it. Maximus never let me down. I was able to link to it using Pascal and C programs, it ran wonderfully under DesQView on MS DOS, even better on OS/2. I never had a user complain about the BBS itself. Since it uses fossil for the I/O interface, it can be ported to use a telnet FOSSIL or emulation easily: making it suitable for use on the internet all of these years later. VERY well designed! Thank you.
