diff((e^(2*x))*(sin(x)), x);

2*e^(2*x)*log(e)*sin(x)+e^(2*x)*cos(x)

the log(e) should be equal to 1 so it can be ignored
I think you can add an output cleaner or something

In maxima euler's number is not "e" but "%e". "e" is just an arbitrary
symbol.

Thus log(%e) = 1 but log(e) != 1
