I dunno, I don't think that would help. to_poly_solve and
simp_inequality are as well-supported as the rest of Maxima, which is
to say that something gets fixed if anybody notices it and somehow
somebody who knows how to fix it hears about it ... We would have to
put a notice like that pretty much everywhere.

Thank you for explaining about simp_inequality and posting the revised
documentation, I will find a few minutes soon to merge it into
doc/info.
