Given how often my spam folder actually contains non-spam email, I
don't think I want an AI/ML producing math results for me.

Yeah, the problem with that is that if it's wrong, it's not a big
deal; you just won't use the suggestion. I think people would be less
forgiving if the math result was wrong.
Of course, maxima produces wrong results too.
