[Maxima-discuss] Finding the magnitude-squared of a transfer function

I am trying to obtain the magnitude-squared of a transfer function.

Basically, I wish to derive equation (5) from equation (3), but it is not
that trivial.

We need to first go into the form of (4) and then  rearrange the poles back
into H(s), and only then find the magnitude-squared.

However, I am stuck during this last step due to very nasty algebra.

How can wxmaxima help in ths case ?
