I almost included an alternative in the current version of wxMaxima. But
it broke the windows build: On a Mac and on Linux most fonts are
packaged with unicode characters that allow to draw mathematical symbols
which allows for high-quality maths output. On Win that isn't the case.

That means: Is the ">" sign is broken in maxima's input *and* output? Or
is it broken only in maxima's output?

As far as I can remember the js fonts should only be used for drawing
sum signs, integral signs and big parenthesis. For the rest a normal
font makes more sense.
