When the window is maximized display of expression should take the full width of the window.
But with 5.47.0 version display remain reduced and on other computer there is even the message :

; in: PROGN (SETQ LINEL 231)
; (SETQ MAXIMA::LINEL 231)
;
; caught WARNING:
; undefined variable: MAXIMA::LINEL
;
; compilation unit finished
; Undefined variable:
; LINEL
; caught 1 WARNING condition

    You don't say, but are you using wxMaxima?

    Also, AFAICT there is no maxima::linel variable. This is probably supposed to be maxima::$linel, but I'm guessing here since I don't know where that message is coming from.

    I can reproduce this problem by launching XMaxima (as xmaxima-local in my development environment) and then click the window bar icon to maximize it.

    Looks like interfaces/xmaxima/Tkmaxima/RunMaxima.tcl says sendMaxima $win ":lisp-quiet (setq linel $wid)\n". I will try changing linel to $linel or maybe something else; I seem to remember there is some Lisp/Maxima symbol shadowing going on.
