It would be great to have the name attribute of the
command element in maverick.config accept strings
conforming to a pattern matching syntax.

Cocoon goes so far as to have a pluggable matcher
architecture in order to accept names conforming to a
variety of pattern syntaxes. Perhaps some or all of this
can be ported?
