If you're using the current WebSphere plugin, or are interested in testing the new version, please contact me. The new version has been rewritten so that it is using the ant tasks in an IBM supported way. --=20 http://www.multitask.com.au/people/dion/ "You are going to let the fear of poverty govern your life and your reward will be that you will eat, but you will not live." - George Bernard Shaw |

Hi Just downloaded the new findbugs plugin and ran it against my project: it failed. I believe the plugin is actually dependent on the latest 1.9.1 xdoc plugin? I installed maven less than 1 month ago and it came with xdoc 1.8. I did the following: maven plugin:download -DgroupId=maven-plugins -DartifactId=maven-findbugs-plugin -Dversion=0.9.1 It seems to have downloaded it, however "maven site" on my project stopped working... This page referenced in the Subject has lots of details about getting the code. The pages created for my project only have the link to the source repository. I looked and I didn't see anything in the plugin's xdoc directory and I didn't see any special properties set in project.properties. I have written a Maven History Plugin that perhaps can be hosted at SF? There exists another implementation of the "same" plugin with similar functionallity, and I have talked to the guys that coded it. They said that they would post it to you guys so we could compare the two versions, but I haven't heard from the guys in a very long time. So here's my version: http://www.mortenkristiansen.net/maven-history-plugin/index.html Morten |

(please CC: me, because im not subscribed to the list) Hola, since april there is available a version of umlgraph that works with java 5. I had a requirement for java 5 so i tweaked maven-dotuml-plugin pom to support it. The bad thing is that umlgraph-3.1 (the version needed for java5 support) only work with java >=5 and this will cause a fork... Anyway, perhaps is usefull to someone. So, I am hoping to bring my work to a close, and realized that Brett regenerated the site and listed each plugin using it's name: # AlmostPlainText Plug-in # Maven Axis Plugin # Maven DB2 Plug-in # Dbunit Plug-in # Debian Package Plug-In Whereas, using the navigation.jelly script to generate the navigation you get # aptdoc # axis # db2 # dbunit # deb # dotuml # doxygen I don't have a really strong feeling about either, though I don't like how a lot plugins start with the word "Maven", for example, "Maven Axis Plugin". Actually, not sure I like that they end in Plugin either! But at any rate, I'd like to pick one method or the other. And, I am actually thinking that using the generated navigation.xml provided by either navigation.jelly or multiproject plugin isn't right. I'd like to just check in a navigation.xml and be able to hand edit it. It seems to me that we should be grouping our plugins by category or something... Right now it is a big long list that isn't managable. You have to know what each project is to know what the plugin does... I'd rather have some categories like: Code Server Lint Site And then put the plugins under those... Comments? Other categories? Eric |

Brett... Did you have any issues getting a clean build to work? I've been tweaking the build files to create the dummy jars and make sure everything builds from scratch. My goal was to get all of that done and then do a release of webtest and findbugs. I was also going to republish EVERYTHING, so that the look and feel etc are updated.. Any reason not to do that? When you did the publish, how exactly did you do it? I have been running "maven multiproject:site" in my testing. I was then going to grab the results and them SCP them over.. Did you do it using Maven 1.0.2 and the publish goals? Done. The current site is set to aggregate which means that you have to be able to build all of the subprojects. I worked around that, suggest it should be changed to independant. This publish put the project names back into the navigation instead of the plugin prefixes (which if all the names were consistent I think is better anyway). Don't know how the previous was done, must have been hand edited. - Brett On 5/29/05, Geoffrey <jcs...@ho...> wrote: > The izpack plugin 0.3.1 is available at > http://maven-plugins.sourceforge.net/maven-izpack-plugin/ >=20 > Can it be linked from the main page? >=20 > With kind regards, > Geoffrey >=20 >=20 >=20 >=20 >=20 > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email is sponsored by Yahoo. > Introducing Yahoo! The izpack plugin 0.3.1 is available at http://maven-plugins.sourceforge.net/maven-izpack-plugin/ Can it be linked from the main page? With kind regards, Geoffrey |

I think it'd be better as you say but as there's an ongoing effort in making tools to manage maven repos related to the maven 2 development we should wait a bit more to see what happens and in the meantime try to upload third party artifacts through JIRA following the upload process. Also note that artifacts in the SF repo should also have a pom so the maven2 one is correctly generated. There's no problem with the GPL artifacts in ibiblio, is the ASF who doesn't allow GPL artifacts. Should I make a proposal then to change the syncing on=20 maven-plugins.sf.net to only pull from /repository/maven-plugins? Can=20 you think of any good reason why we wouldn't want to make this change? Or, do we, as a group, want to commit to getting all dependencies that=20 are possible to be uploaded to ibiblio up? Related to that, is there=20 any issue with GPL artifacts going on ibiblio? Everything is sync'ed so I'd encourage people needing third party libraries to fill a upload request in JIRA. http://maven.apache.org/repository-upload.html On 5/12/05, David Eric Pugh <ep...@up...> wrote: > Is the entire http://maven-plugins.sf.net/repository > directory synced, or only > http://maven-plugins.sf.net/repository/maven-plugins/ > directory? > =20 > I actually would prefer the latter as that way we can dump whatever we n= eed > into the repo without worrying about it making it's way to ibiblio.=20 > Especially since we don't represent the other groups, who should be > submitting their stuff via the normal process. > =20 > Eric > =20 > Carlos Sanchez wrote:=20 > Hi, >=20 > the maven-pluginis repo is sync'ed to ibiblio, and yes it's a better > idea to create upload bundles for those artifacts not in the > maven-plugins group. >=20 > Regards >=20 > Carlos Sanchez >=20 > On 5/12/05, J=F6rg Schaible > <Joe...@el...> wrote: > =20 > =20 > David Eric Pugh wrote on Thursday, May 12, 2005 3:38 PM: >=20 > =20 > =20 > Eric, >=20 > Fantastic! Is the entire http://maven-plugins.sf.net/repository directory synced,=20 or only http://maven-plugins.sf.net/repository/maven-plugins/ directory? I actually would prefer the latter as that way we can dump whatever we=20 need into the repo without worrying about it making it's way to=20 ibiblio. Especially since we don't represent the other groups, who=20 should be submitting their stuff via the normal process. Hi, the maven-pluginis repo is sync'ed to ibiblio, and yes it's a better idea to create upload bundles for those artifacts not in the maven-plugins group.
