Hi John, I think it would be nice to have a few more line and marker types. For example, DISLIN has 24 marker symbol types and 8 line types. Perhaps one could specify (perhaps in points) the length of the dashes and the spacing between them for dashed line types and perhaps even specify the pattern of dashes, dots and spaces, but maybe I'm a line type control-freak. Actually, what I'd really like is for the ratio of dashes to the breaks between them to be changed. A 3 or 4 to 1 ratio looks nicer than what I'm seeing with GTKAgg (about 1 to 1), but others' opinions may vary, hence the control-freak suggestion.
