Hi. Chaco is also included in SciPy, which is a really interesting scientific computing package. And I do agree with Mr. Coelho that Matplotlib is more flexible (yet as far as I know, Chaco offers 3D plotting as well). Have you been in contact with the Scipy team? Another idea.
