[Matplotlib-users] Setting only the X-axis scale?

Hi,

Is it possible in python/matplotlib to only define the x-axis range  
and have the y-axis autoscale?

I've read the docs about axis() but this seems to set the bounds on  
both the x- and y-axes.

Kelvin,

If you are using the command line interface, try using 'xlim(a, b)' to
set the limits.
