which version of matlab do i need or it will work on any version?

    • Agostino Gibaldi

      Hi Chadi,

      I tested the toolbox with matlab 2014b, 2016a and b, and 2017.
If you want the toolbox for data communication only, it should work also
with previous versions of matlab, since it uses only the UDP connection. If
you want it also for visualization, you need to have installed the
Psychotoolbox, and I don't know what is the retrocompatibility with matlab.

      Good luck.

HI, I'd like to use it with tobii 4c. Could you help me with the installation steps?

    • Agostino Gibaldi

      Hi Marcos,

I tested also the 4C, it is working fine. The installation steps are the
same, you have to download the most recent zip file.

Let me know if you have any problems,

      Agostino

Our toolbox with the 4C works only with the EyeX SDK. I didn't know the
existence of a new SDK, I will have a look at it.
      Thank you for the tip,

      Agostino

    Hi,
I would like to use our toolbox with the tobii 4c. But I don't find the Tobii Gaze SDK. Is the dll file (Tobii.EyeX.Client.dll) sufficient or do I have to download the Tobii Gaze SDK ?

    • Agostino Gibaldi

      Hi Matthieu,

You also need the Tobii Eyex Engine. I think it is not available anymore
for download, since Tobii upgraded the software to the Tobii Core Engine.

There might be some link to still find it, I will let you know in some days

      Best,

      Agostino

    Hi, Gibaldi

I am not able to connect the 4C eyes tracker by using the 'TobiiMatlabToolbox3.1-eyex SDK'l.

I have tried the "tobii_connect" in Matlab, it pop up a cmd window showing"waiting for fixation data to start streaming...", (i assumed if it connected successfully, it will display the steaming data?)

I wonder if I am using new driver/engine, the software version i installed is "Tobii eye Traacking Core SW"

If you have the old eyeX engine which works fine with the toolbox, could you share it with me? my email is foxultra@gmail.com

    Thanks

Btw, I read some thread said I need to copy the "MinimalTrackerAsync.exe" from older toolbox version to make it works. however, when I ran this .exe, there's nothing happen. what's the purpose of this .exe file?

    Hi,
I would like to use our toolbox with the tobii 4c in unity. I have used the updated core engine and unity SDK, but the"tobii_connect" in Matlab just pop up a cmd window without other result. I wonder it's the engine version problem. But I don't find the Tobii Gaze SDK and the old eyeX engine. If you have the old eyeX engine and corresponding SDK which works fine with the toolbox, could you share it with me? my email is dengdengfan5@gmail.com

    Thanks
