hi, someone in my fablab indicates me that OBJ is not convenient for 3D printers
he says STL would be better
but when i have a look in the "export" menu of mathmod, i find only ".obj" features
what shall i do ?

so simple thank you Abderrahman
initially i wanted to script 3D objects with python
but i never found any plugin for python that can export to STL (or OBJ)
before i get deeper in mathmod, do you have any idea around this question ?

I've never used python so I can't help on this, sorry. However, the export part on your code should be intimately dependant on how your 3D objects are "coded" so i don't think there is a "plugin" or python code that will work on every 3D program.

Hi, i am trying to reduce the size of the models so i can import them into netfabb to measure the volume and surface area. Also, is there a way i can do it in MathMod itself not sure.
Thank you

Hi, did you manage to measure a volume? Indeed, I cannot 3D print my designs from MathMod because the slicer I use does not detect any volume on my geometry...

Hi, You have to convert from OBJ to STL. There are many free software that can do this such as Meshlab http://www.meshlab.net , Blender....
