You can use option "value". For example

gr->Hist(x,z,"value 1000");

will create histogram of 1000 points distributed in x-range.

Alternatively, you can set value of mglFitPnts variable.

Thanks abalakin, I just successfully compile Mathgl on win7 vs2010 32, the gnu
win32 link on the help page is little older that libpng and zilib I tried not
compatible with win7.
