I installed MathCast and have been able to create some complicated equations. However, when I copy and paste an equation to Word or PowerPoint, the equation comes in somewhat fuzzy - nowhere near as crisp and distinct typographically as, say, a Microsoft Word document. Should I copy it as a bmp? png? It does not have a fully professional look and feel.

Word itself smoothes pictures, and so sometimes equations may look too smooth. If you want sharper equations, you can cancel the font smoothing in MathCast's Settings screen.

For best results in Word and PowerPoint I suggest: If you want to print your document or slideshow,  use the Enhanced Metafile copy. If not, you can select the Bitmap copy.

Also note, that you can increase the size of your equations if you want.
