It is possible to make a French version, though I don't know French. MathCast is an open source application, so if somebody else wants to do it, they are welcome to.

If you tell me how I can do it, I would like to translate MathCast in French. Do you have a file with the english strings to translate? Most softwares use language files, one per language, do you have a similar system?

All the language-specific resources are located in the chrome/locale/ directory.
To add a new translation, please edit chrome/chrome.manifest and link your locale (say fr-FR) to the locale/fr-FR/ folder. You'll also need to add a entry for the locale/fr-FR/branding/ folder.
Next, you would need to do the actual translation. To determine the minimal set of files that require translation, have a look at the zh-TW locale for reference.
