Greetings, I am running experiments on an x86 simulator. It can be configured to be cycle-accurate, but in general I'd like to delay using the accurate timing system until I have "serious" measurements to make (read: until I am ready to pay for the slowness of executions). Here's my question: since I know all the timings for caches (Frequency, L1D, L1I, L2, TLBs etc., which I can configure as I want), is there a way to let ATLAS know about all this to significantly reduce the search space (along with execution times)? I looked at the manual which told me how to specify the L2 size, but I saw nothing for L1 data caches. Hopefully, someone will be able to help me with this!
