I'm one of the guys trying to get VC++ to compile the source. I've done a few (obsolete now) changes when all this started off, haven't had a whole lot of time after some major changes in my life. I lurk mostly. I was trying to be pretty open-minded. I wasn't attacking you or anything. I said "as you seem to be suggesting." I didn't say that you were demanding the engine to be your way, just that you came across as sounding that way. If that makes sense. =) I know (at least as well as anyone on here) who you are and why you're asking for what you're asking. I agree with you -- these would be great options and I think we should do what we can to help these options get implemented. But as options. You keep (probably unintentionally) suggesting that what you want in an engine is what everyone should want In short, you think that your engine is the best idea out there and your suggestions reflect that. =) --Jeremy >> FIRST: No offense was taken. Actually, I don't. I'm planning several scenarios, some of which will be simple, almost like the original Marathon. The others, well, complex. I didn't intend to make it seem like I think everyone should be happy with my suggestions, and I made that clear when I say "I don't care of your scenario is a Roadrunner cartoon, I just want mine to be REALISTIC." I guess I have come out the wrong way, since I get so many irate C-mails (C-mail = Crap Mail) from complete idiots that would like to have my head delivered to them on a silver platter. I'm really getting fed up with it, since most people aren't like you and want me dead just because I want something in my scenario that they don't want in theirs. I just don't know what the crap people think is wrong with just having options, just because they aren't going to use them... Hannibal |
