To just add it all into the engine with reckless abandon doesn't seem too wise to me. There's a reason that Bungie left out a lot of what they left out. And most assuredly, not all of it was because the game is so "old". I'm all for adding optional things in there for scenarios. That's great. But to just make an engine around a scenario (or set of ideas) gets away from what bungie was doing with their physics, shapes, sounds, etc. files. I think they were very justified in doing so and we would be as well. My point is to make things like this optional or enabled by a scenario, not necessarily all the time in-engine as you seem to be suggesting. --Jeremy >> Did you just get on the list? I don't recall seeing any of your messages before, but anyway, you missed the point. I've been saying make it an option for months now. The last few messages I was simply trying to state that even if they weren't options, I wouldn't see why they'd conflict. I'd take my copy of Marathon and put all of the realism I could in it, even though most other people seem bent on keeping what *they* play totally unreal (not to be confused with Unreal, but that would be nice). If ammo is a problem because of headshots, I'd chunk down the amount in my map. Fall damage? I'd add a bunch of ledges on the one level that it would be a problem (M2, level 4), that I could use to jump down one at a time. I liked Marathon too, but I don't plan on making Marathon related scenarios. I plan on making my own scenarios, with my own story, that will be more realistic. If you jump two hundred feet, you die. Something similar would undoubtedly happen in real life. What if you get shot in the face with a Bazooka? That usually isn't a very good thing in real life, neither is getting your heart shot in half by a sniper rifle. I'm sure a few other people will want this in their scenario as well. Think about it.
