My fault. I was keeping both the stable build and the preview build in the same directory, so I could choose between them if I liked. After changing to OpenGL-shader this morning I switched back to the old build, which doesn't have that option. I assume it read the preference for the non-existent renderer and then crashed.

Happened again without any fancy window switching. Both times effigy was hosting. Different maps. Nothing extra.
