When I chose a notepad page from the search results I always wish the search results would stay in the tree. A keyboard shortcut for the back button of the tree search would be a really nice solution to get back to the result list (Ctrl + Alt + Left-Arrow?).

I got many notepad pages and I'm often searching for a term in all my notepad documents. Over the years the search seems getting slower. Is there a way to speed up the search?

Besides: searching for a term in the tree will highlight the term in the chosen notepad is great!

    New behavior in v5.5:

    • Clicking the Search field (or pressing Ctrl+O) will automatically return to the last search results (if any)
    • Esc key will toggle between Tree and search results
    • Text auto completion window is not available again, but I'm not sure about its Up/Down key bindings which may clash with Search Box

Yep, content search is currently quite slow (if you see "Please Wait" message - it's bad ;). Makagiga actually need new index implementation ("inverted index") to improve search speed, but it may take some time...

Is there a way to speed up the search?

Do not use "Delete Search Index" option in "Delete Private Data".
Unfortunately I don't have more tips right now :)

    Thanks

Sorry answering late. Thanks so much for your quick feedback an programming! I'm looking forward to test the new feature. (Hope no one will miss the text auto completion window.)

Thanks for the hint about "Delete Search Index". It was pretty self-explanatory to me that if I delete search could be slower but perhaps a good one for some users and now it is clear.

But: I installed the newer 5.4 release and the search is so fast now! Fantastic! It is sometimes faster than I could properly end typing the search term when having a typo. :) Thanks!

I must correct my statement regarding speed: Search is fast but not at the first search (after some period of time).

Just tested search result behaviour in 5.5 beta. Like the different options to get back to the results. Great, thanks!
