I meant with tabbed something like keynote (http://tranglos.com/free/keynote_screenshot.html) The program isn't under development more but a lot of people use this program.
Tabbed will mean that an user easily can switch between 'trees', for example a tree for computerstuff, a tree for personal stuff etc.
I don't know if its possible to im/export treepad files (keynote can export to treepad). Adding a tabbed interface, the crossplatform and a good im/export would result in an excellent notetaking piece of software
