Alpha-2 Released!

The MailRA project proudly announces the release of the second alpha version of their mail receiving resource adapter.

Everybody is kindly asked to download and test this adapter, and post bugs and feature requests into the tracker. Also everybody is heartly invited to contribute to the open discussion forum.

The new features include:

Support for customizable SMTP IP address

The IP address that is used for SMTP inbound can now be customized at time of deployment. Unless modified, the default IP address is chosen automatically.

To try out this new feature, feel free to checkout the latest code from trunk, and report any bugs to the Bug Tracker on SourceForge.

The port number that is used for SMTP inbound can now be customized at time of deployment. Unless modified, the default port number is 25.

MIME and javax.mail.Message Support

This week new features have been added to trunk. Feel free to checkout the latest stuff from SVN and file bug reports if needed, or discuss the new features in the Open Discussion Forum.

* javax.mail.Message: The class used to transport an email from MailRA to the MDB now more is proprietary. From now on, we are using javax.mail.Message, which is the standard class for emails as defined by the Java Mail API. Alpha-1 Released!
