Ron, I'll get around to publicising my installation notes in a short while, which should clear this up properly - at the moment I'm tied up at euro oscon, but will be back by friday. For basic installation, yes you need ZMySQLDA. You will need MySQL 4.1.x, and you will need InnoDb support enabled. We use both InnoDb and MyISAM tables in the database. You will need to create the database beforehand, as well as a user to connect to the database. You will also need to grant permissions to that user to write to the database. The test suite does contain code to set up MySQL, given the mysql root user, and I'll try and use that to extend setupdb.py later on to cover both postgres and MySQL. Oh, and the crystal ball is optional, but it does help! Regards, Kevin -- Kevin Campbell GPG Key: F480EC23 Software Engineer ke...@lo... LogicalWare Ltd http://www.logicalware.com |
