I submitted bug request 116438 describing how subscription confirmation messages were being sent with the wrong "Reply-to" when "where are replies directed/this list" is set in the general options page (others submitted similar bug reports, oops). I got a patch from bug #116359, which fixed that problem.
However, it seems that other mails from "listname-request" include the Reply-To header as well. For example, sending a message to "listname-request" with "help" in the subject will return the help message, but will have a "Reply-To" of the list.
Additionally, sending a message to "list-admin" will generate a message that has the "Reply-To" header as well.
Can you post a patch to fix this?
I cannot reproduce this. Messages to -request or -admin should both be fast tracked, which means they are delivered to a single user instead of the list membership. In that case, no Reply-To: header is added, and in fact, in my tests the messages all come back with no Reply-To: header.
I am running vanilla 2.0b6; the only change that has been made was the patch from bug 116359. Here is an example mail header from sending a "help" request to "lam-request@mpi.nd.edu" (one of my lists). As you can see, it has a Reply-To of the list in the header:
